Finding the best deal is important for any kind of shopping, whether you’re doing it online or in the store, looking for a pair of shoes or trying to buy insurance.
So it’s no surprise that the same holds when it comes to identity theft protection. While it’s great to search for the best Aura alternative service on the market, a huge difference in price between one and something else can make anyone balk, even if you think you might like the expensive one’s features a bit better.
Free trials can help you determine whether you like a service or not (and Aura has one of those as well), but it doesn’t really help you make a decision on whether you want to pay the asking price for a service.
Fortunately, most services out there that aren’t already a “budget service” that offers limited protection for a lower price, have ways to reduce the up-front costs for their identity theft protection if you know where to look.
Aura, thankfully, is no exception.
There are two main methods you can use to go about this.
But First, Why Should You Trust Us?

Coupon
Available via some services like Groupon, there is a coupon code that allows you to sign up for Aura’s two week free trial, and get 40% off if you sign up for their annual subscription.
This does have a few drawbacks, however, the main one being that you’re locked into using Aura for a year even if you end up not liking it past the refund date, which is thankfully pretty generous (you get a 60 day money-back guarantee).
Keep in mind the fine print: if you sign up for Aura using their free trial, the money-back guarantee date starts when the free trial starts, not when the “actual” subscription starts. Keep that in mind when applying for your refund.
However, there’s a bigger issue with the Groupon code: it’s not the biggest discount you can get.
Affiliate Code
Using our affiliate code, linked here and on our reviews of Aura protection services, you can actually receive up to 50% off any subscription. That’s on the monthly or yearly payment instead of just the year, and Aura family plans as well of course.
This is both more flexible and can save you money, plus is still compatible with the free trial.
In essence, there’s not actually any reason to use the coupons, unless something is released at a later date that gives a deeper than 50% discount on all services, which is unlikely.
So go ahead and just sign up using the affiliate code if you want the largest currently available discount without having to jump through any weird hoops. Just look up what the money-back guarantee is for your specific plan and make sure it’s the same in case you’re not completely satisfied or if Aura is worth your money.
